Every day, our world depends on the tireless efforts of those who ensure that our infrastructure, environment, and essential assets are well-maintained. This is no small task, especially when resources are limited and skilled professionals are in short supply. We need heroes—individuals who rise to this challenge and inspire others to do the same. These are the heroes who keep our world running smoothly, day after day.

The Salvetti Foundation, in collaboration with the European Federation of National Maintenance Societies (EFNMS), is proud to recognize these extraordinary individuals through the prestigious Euromaintenance Awards. These awards honor outstanding contributions in the maintenance community across Europe.

The competition is fierce, with 23 national maintenance societies from across Europe nominating their very best.  We extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the nominees and winners: 

European Maintenance Manager Awards (EMMA):

Maria Ryytty; Head of Strategic Maintenance at LKAB and representing Sweden (Svenskt Unterhall). For her excellent career, focus on strategy and  sustainable development of teams.

Gioacchino Mugneico; Maintenance, Asset integrity and turnaround manager at Sonatrach Raffineria Italiana S.r.l. representing Italy (AIMAN) for his overall career and focus on reducing risk whilst spending a challenging big maintenance budget.

MTA: The M.Sc. Thesis Award

  • Aleksanteri Hämäläinen. MTA thesis entitled: “Generalization of a few-shot model for gear fault diagnosis” (FINLAND)

PTA: The Ph.D. Thesis Award

  • Camilla Munther (former Lundgren). PhD Thesis entitled: “Facilitating the Implementation of Smart Maintenance” (SWEDEN)
